How to write a prompt for an AI image generator
Whether the result is disappointing or usable almost never comes down to the model. It comes down to the sentence you type.

Why it works. The vague version leaves the surface, the light and the composition to chance, so every run looks different. The specific version pins all three down — and that is what makes a set of product shots actually look like a set.

Why it works. Adding the weather, a colour rule (cool palette with a single warm accent), the shading technique and the shot size turns a generic request into one specific picture.

Stacking quality words
“8k, ultra detailed, masterpiece, best quality” is a habit left over from an older generation of models. On the engines here it does close to nothing: it spends your prompt on words that do not change the picture.
Describing what you do not want
Most image models cannot parse negation inside a prompt. Write “no hands in frame” and hands often show up. Describe the picture you do want instead.
Writing an essay before you have a draft
